Short Information

I am Jayita Dasgupta. I had been residing in Muscat, Oman for 28 years and have now relocated to Kolkata for personal reasons. I have a post graduate degree in English from The University of Calcutta. I have always been passionate about teaching and when I was a student of college and University pursuing my Bachelors and Masters degree I used to tutor middle school students in English. In the year 2000 I completed a Montessori degree through correspondence and was an observer in a Kindergarten School and later worked there as a voluntary Teacher for a couple of months.. In the meantime I got an opportunity to become an English Teacher of a community school following O level curriculum. Besides teaching English to Middle school students, I also taught classes 9 and 10 on a temporary basis. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching there and gained overwhelming love from my students. Unfortunately due to the school administration issues I was not getting a work visa which made me leave my job. Being a mother of 2 in a foreign country with hardly any domestic help I could not continue with my teaching profession although my ex school students came to me for taking tution. I also conducted spoken English classes for adults for a while. Now that I have relocated to India and both my children being grown ups I want to pursue my passion for teaching young children. I love interacting with them and enjoy teaching them. After leaving my job I had penned a book AMITY for the Embassy of Bangladesh on the diplomatic relationship between the two countries. I am mature, sincere and honest.
